Checking IDP IELTS Via Local Test Center
This method is ideal for applicants who use the IELTS on Paper option. Contact your local test centre for ideas on how to check IDP IELTS.
Generally, the test centre will send Short Messages (SMS) or directives on how to get your score after the exam.
Using the IDP IELTS Result
Keep in mind that irrespective of how or where you checked the result; you may not be able to use it as much as you wanted.

Officiality of the Result
The IDP IELTS score is unofficial or provisional. Hence, you may not be able to use it for official purposes, pending the release and receipt of the Test Report Form (TRF).
Number of TRF Copies Issued
When the Test Report Form (TRF) is finally issued; you’ll only be entitled to one copy. The second copy can only be issued if you’re applying to any of the following:
- United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI)
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
How Long to Wait for the IDP IELTS Result?
The duration it takes for the result to come out is determined by the location of the exam. If you took it online (IELTS on Computer); the result comes out between 3 and 5 days from the date of the test.
For those who took IELTS on Paper, it could take up to 13 calendar days from the test date for the Test Report Form (TRF) to be released.
Applicants to the Life Skills for UKVI can expect the IDP IELTS result after 7 calendar days of completing the test.
